Core values
United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals
In 2015, world leaders adopted a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to transform the world. This was done to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.
For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part. Also, the private sector. For Integra Aviation, these goals present an opportunity to step up on sustainability, providing better education for more people and better sustainable aviation infrastructure solutions for more countries.
We acknowledge all 17 sustainable goals and recognize that they are inter-connected. Though, we will focus on and have most positive impact on SDG no. 4 Quality education, SDG no. 9 Industry, innovation and infrastructure, SDG no. 10 Reduced inequalities and SDG no. 5 Gender equality.
However, we also focus on where we can mimimise our negative impact on SDGs. Because aviation is one of the fastest-growing sources of greenhouse gas emissions, we strive to enter into partnerships with universities and other organisations that work dedicatedly to minimise climate changes. Here we touch upon SDG no. 13 Climate Action.
Diversity and respect – Goal no. 5 and 10
The world is a colorfully diverse place. A mosaic of differences – and so is Integra Aviation as a workplace. We firmly believe that diversity jump starts innovation, reduces fear and improves performance and ultimately increases the bottom line of business? Hence, we employ people of different ages, ethnic/racial groups, religious beliefs and personal backgrounds.
This mindset also affects the way we do business. We work with organisations from all countries in the world. From the far North to the far South. From East to West. No customer is too big, and no customer is too small. We respect our customers’ cultural differences, their religious holidays and dietary choices.
Education – Goal no. 4
We believe that education is the key to freedom and success both on personal and national levels. Education is important in the creation of any democratic society. Education helps promote tolerance in a society and helps reduce conflicts between diverse populations in an urban setting. Education helps members in a society learn from the mistakes of the past and brings hope for the future. Education is a mind-expanding gift that can broaden our horizons and enrich our lives. Education has shown to increase economic growth and stability.
Sustainable aviation infrastructure – Goal no. 9
We work to ensure access to air transport for future generations. The ‘magna carta’ of international civil aviation, calls for the development of civil aviation to help create and preserve friendship and understanding among the nations and peoples of the world and to promote cooperation between nations and peoples upon which the peace of the world depends. We want to improve the aviation infrastructure to improve mobility and help people from sparsely populated areas move to job and education.
Environment
We support and participate in research & development projects that aims to minimize climate change. A good example is our collaboration with both Southern University of Denmark (SDU) and Aarhus University (AU) where we touch upon Goal 4, 9 and 11 and 13.
Partnering
Integra Aviation has long experience in the aviation industry. Through the years we have established many long-lasting and fruitful relationships with business partners both in Denmark and abroad. We believe that partnerships with private and public organistaions that share our goals and values has the best potential for transformative solutions. A good example is our collaboration with both Southern University of Denmark (SDU) and Aarhus University (AU) where we touch upon Goal 4, 9 and 11 and 13.
